Reflexion & Relief, Garden Quadrangle at St. John’s College, Oxford

REFLEXION and RELIEF are a pair of sister sculptures each made from a single sheet of polished brass. The designs for REFLEXION and RELIEF are inspired by 2 exercises by Arieh Sharon, a student at the Bauhaus School of Architecture & Design, in 1927. The sculptures are installed on each side of the
entrance to an area for people to gather, on the north side of the atrium. In the words of Denis Moriarty , the coordinator of the St. John’s College Art and Architecture Project, the two sculptures are of ‘beguiling design’. READ MORE
